Fear of Failure-Michael Jordan, Walt Disney and Henry Ford?
Failure is defined in many terms. A failed marriage, a failed business venture, a failed exam, or a failed trial run on a home improvement project. As illustrated, failure comes in all shapes and sizes ranging from the catastrophic to the less noticeable. It’s a part of the human existence. but what about the fear of failure that we allow to overshadow all of our efforts? It become a powerful negative force that can paralyze us. We become stuck in reverse and nonproductive. No one can win at everything, especially at a first attempt. I think of Michael Jordan and the story of his humble beginnings. He is touted as one of the greatest basketball players in history, yet he was cut from his freshman basketball team in high school. Walt Disney went bankrupt seven times before he hit the big one. Henry Ford’s first company failed because people said that his car and parts were of inferior quality. In the wake of failures we have Hall of Fame, Disney World, and millions of …
